I became a Washingtonian today. Or is that a Washingtonite? I dunno, whatever we're called, it's too many syllables.

I got my Washington Driver's License in the mail today. What's cool is that I went on Wednesday to get it, and it came in the mail today (Saturday!). Gotta say, that beats the pants off of the Los Angeles DMV's response time.

Now, it's a very small percentage of the driving population that likes their driver's license photo. I'd say a miniscule percentage, really.

I didn't like my previous California license picture, but it was not horrible, it was no big deal. For this one, I buzzed my hair (as usual), I shaved my face (except my goatee of course) and wore a shirt with a color I like. And then I took the photo, looking at the spot on the camera, and starting a half-smile. I should have fully smiled...because I look like a dork. Now, granted, I look like a dork normally, so in a way, this picture perfectly represents me. Except, in this picture, because of the way I'm half-smiling and the nearly crossed eyes from looking at the little spot on the camera...I look stoned.

Not really a good look for me, is what I'm sayin'.

This looks super compared to my last one. When I moved back to NC last spring after being in Texas for 6 years, of course I had to get a new license. The ones I had in Texas showed a couple inches below the shoulders with some space around the head, so I fussed with my hair and gave thought to what I was wearing. Imagine my surprise when I got the actual license and it was a VERY close up of my face. A small part of my neck shows, but not as much as yours as no clothes neckline shows and even though you can see the top of my head, the sides don't even show the outer edges of my hair. It sure would have saved a lot of "fussin over" if I had known nothing else would show...LOL It was kind of washed out like the lighting was too bright.... so I look a little pale too. I get to carry this around with me till 2015 !! Hmmm or maybe I could lose them and have a redo.

Actually, that's one of the BETTER driver's license pictures I've seen! I detest mine. After painstakingly styling my hair the March winds resulted in a "I just survived a tornado." look. ~sarcasm~ Lovely. ~/sarcasm~ :-)

yeah, I'm thinking stoned in that picture! Good to know how fast you get it - I was thinking of doing that next week, except for the damn snow. Not sure I'll be able to get anywhere! Hope all's well!

I wouldn't say it's the worst D.L. pic I've ever seen...but it does just seem to give off the essence of "serial killer." Kinda like "if it rains just ONE MORE FREAKIN' DAY, I'm gonna GO OFF!" Or, "If I have to hear "Wind Beneath My Wings" just ONE MORE TIME..."

One day you'll learn to do like I do and bring your own camera, lighting and makeup crew to the DMV with you.

I like your smile! It's look sweet and your eyes are kind of . . . twinkly! This is a very good DMV photo. Most look like mug shots after a long night of partying. I think you can definitely use this for e-Harmony LOL!
